My approach to therapy

I offer you a safe and non-judgemental space and a calm & steady presence to begin the process of opening up to difficult emotions or troubling feelings.

We will always move at a pace and in a direction that feels comfortable for you. In our sessions I might offer a different perspective or sometimes make observations about what may be happening in the moment between us. I will always approach our work together with curiousity, kindness and respect for who you truly are as a person. My approach is collaborative and non-directive and together will work towards change for you.

I have many years experience working with clients on a wide spectrum of life challenges including anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, trauma, relationships, loss and bereavement, life transitions, substance mis-use, self-worth & menopause.

I practised therapy in the third sector and also work in higher education with young adults experiencing mental health and wellbeing challenges.

I trained at the University of Edinburgh and I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) & adhere to their ethical framework. I am insured with the Psychologists Protection Society and registered with the ICO to ensure your data is protected.

I work therapeutically with adults (age 18+), offer short and longer term counselling and I am available in person and online.
